Program Description

Explore the wild beauty of the Akamas Peninsula, Cyprus’ last untouched coastal frontier. This adventure is perfect for nature lovers, covering the region’s most breathtaking spots. First visit will be the charming village of Pano Arodes, famous for its traditional Cypriot stone architecture. Then we proceed to the impressive Avakas Gorge, a deep canyon with towering limestone walls, requiring a 30-40-minute walk to see its best features. Visit Lara Beach, one of the Mediterranean's most pristine spots, home to the Cyprus Turtle Conservation Project, where you will learn about sea turtles and their preservation. Enjoy the breathtaking views of Lara Bay, swim in its crystal-clear waters, or relax at a beach café. At the end visit “The Baths of Aphrodite (known as Loutra in Greek)” where legend has it Aphrodite, the Greek goddess of love and beauty took her bath together with her lover Adonis .Stop at the tourist pavilion and admire the spectacular view of the bay, considered one of the best views in Cyprus, before heading up along the pretty nature trail that takes you inland past a botanical garden and on to the spot where the goddess supposedly took her beauty bath. Free time for Lunch and Swimming.
