Siwa Oasis is one of Egypt's most extraordinary destinations, where spectacular desert landscapes, crystal-clear salt lakes and centuries-old traditions create a truly unique atmosphere. This excursion combines the region's fascinating history, natural wonders and authentic local culture, offering the opportunity to discover one of the country's most secluded and captivating oases.

Your journey begins with a transfer to Siwa Oasis, located near Egypt's western border. Upon arrival, there will be a short stop at a hotel, where you will have time to freshen up before setting off on your desert adventure. The tour then continues aboard 4x4 safari jeeps, providing the perfect way to explore Siwa's remarkable landscapes.

The first stop is the Ancient Roman Cemeteries, a fascinating archaeological site that reflects the rich history of the oasis dating back to Roman times. The adventure then continues to Dakrur Mountain, one of Siwa's best-known landmarks. Here, you will enjoy a relaxing stop by the nearby lake, where you can admire the scenery, take photographs and enjoy tea with light snacks surrounded by the peaceful desert landscape.

The programme also includes a visit to the famous Salt Lakes, renowned for their crystal-clear turquoise waters. There will be time for a short swim and the unforgettable experience of effortlessly floating in the highly mineralised water.

Another highlight is Cleopatra's Eye, also known as Cleopatra's Bath - a natural spring associated with local legends about the famous Egyptian queen. The tour then continues to the ancient Temple of Amun, one of Siwa's most important historical monuments, traditionally linked with the Oracle of Amun, which was visited by Alexander the Great.

After returning to the hotel for lunch and time to refresh, you will continue to the centre of Siwa to explore the historic Shali Citadel, a former mud-brick fortress that has overlooked the oasis for centuries. There will also be time to browse certified local shops offering traditional handicrafts and regional products.

The final stop is the Terracotta Pottery School in Old Siwa, where you will discover the region's traditional pottery-making techniques and learn more about one of the oasis's most enduring crafts before returning to your hotel.
