Program Description

Discover Iceland’s most iconic natural wonders on a full-day tour of the famous Golden Circle. This is one of the country’s most popular sightseeing routes, taking you through spectacular landscapes, geothermal marvels and sites of outstanding historical and geological significance. The itinerary also includes a visit to the remarkable Kerið Volcanic Crater, where a vivid blue lake contrasts beautifully with the crater’s striking red volcanic slopes.

After departing from Reykjavík, you will travel to Þingvellir National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This extraordinary location marks the meeting point of the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates and is also the birthplace of Icelandic democracy, home to one of the world's oldest parliaments.

Your next stop will be the Geysir geothermal area, the place that gave its name to geysers around the world. Here, you will witness the famous Strokkur geyser, which erupts every few minutes, sending a powerful column of hot water high into the air and creating one of Iceland’s most spectacular natural phenomena.

The journey continues to Gullfoss, one of Iceland’s most impressive waterfalls. Here, glacial water plunges dramatically into a deep canyon, while several viewing platforms offer breathtaking perspectives of this powerful natural attraction.

The final highlight of the excursion is the Kerið Volcanic Crater, with admission included in the tour. You can walk along the rim of the crater or descend to the vivid blue lake at its centre, enjoying one of Iceland’s most distinctive volcanic landscapes.

Throughout the day, an experienced guide will share fascinating insights into Iceland’s history, geology and natural wonders, making this an unforgettable journey through some of the country’s most spectacular scenery.

The order of visits and the programme may be subject to change.
