Kenya's North Coast Tour

Discover authentic rural life in Majengo, a traditional village located in the Kikambala region. This cultural experience offers a unique opportunity to meet local people, learn about their customs and sample traditional Kenyan specialities.

The tour begins with a visit to the local market, followed by a walk through the village. With the residents' permission, you may have the opportunity to enter a traditional home and gain an insight into everyday life in the local community.

You will then visit nearby farms, where coconuts, cashew nuts, mangoes and oranges are grown. During the visit, you will watch a demonstration of how makuti, the traditional roofing material made from dried coconut leaves, is prepared.

You will also discover how coconut milk is extracted and used in local cooking, taste ugali, fresh madafu (young coconut), and mnazi, the region's traditional palm wine.
