Program Description

Discover one of the most scenic areas of Kenya's southern coast on a full-day excursion to Funzi Island. Enjoy a relaxing cruise aboard a traditional dhow while exploring beautiful coastal landscapes and experiencing the region's unique natural beauty.

After breakfast at Bodo Beach, board a traditional dhow and sail along Funzi Creek, surrounded by pristine mangrove forests that provide a habitat for numerous bird and wildlife species. You will then visit the traditional fishing village on Funzi Island, where you will learn about the area's fascinating history.

The journey continues to a picturesque sandbank, where you will have free time to swim and relax before cruising to Kinazini Island for lunch.

On the return journey, cross the Ramisi River by motorboat. If you're lucky, you may even spot crocodiles living along its banks.
