Program Description
Visit the National Holocaust Museum and discover stories connected with the persecution of Jewish people in the Netherlands during the Second World War. The museum is located in the Hervormde Kweekschool building, which played an important role in the rescue of Jewish children.
During the war, the nearby Crèche was used by the Nazis as a place where Jewish children were gathered before deportation. Its director, Henriëtte Pimentel, helped lead hundreds of children to safety through the Kweekschool.
During your visit, explore exhibitions that tell the stories of those affected by persecution, as well as the people who risked their own safety to help others. The displays provide an insight into the events of the Holocaust in the Netherlands and their impact.
A visit to the museum offers an opportunity to learn, reflect and remember the victims of the Holocaust.
