At Legends: The Home of Football in Madrid, football history takes on a very tangible form - you can discover it through original memorabilia displayed across seven floors of the museum.
Behind every exhibit is a name, a match or a moment that has become part of football history. The collection includes shirts, balls, boots and trophies associated with legends such as Pelé, Cruyff, Maradona, Messi, Iniesta and Zidane. Each item is part of a bigger story - one shaped by players, teams and the defining events that have influenced football around the world over the years.
The story begins much earlier. The exhibition takes you through the origins of football, major tournaments, famous stadiums and national teams, showing how the game has evolved and how its place in culture has changed. It also highlights women’s football and its growing role in the world of sport.
You do not have to simply look at the exhibits. A 4D cinema, virtual reality and interactive installations allow you to step into the history of football and experience it in a more engaging way. Explore the different parts of the exhibition at your own pace and spend more time wherever a particular story, player or moment catches your interest.
Across seven floors, different eras, playing styles and generations of players come together. From the early chapters of football history to players whose names are known around the world today, the museum shows how a game played on the pitch became a global part of sporting culture.
