Program Description
Discover one of the most unique regions on Turkey’s south-western coast, where nature and history blend in perfect harmony. Dalyan is a protected area set within a vast river delta, known for its unspoilt landscapes, peaceful atmosphere and distinctive attractions. It’s an ideal choice if you want to combine relaxation with exploring lesser-known corners of Turkey.
Your day will begin with a hotel pick-up and a scenic drive towards Dalyan. You will then reach one of the highlights of the tour - the famous mud baths, known for their skin-nourishing properties. You will immerse yourself in mineral-rich mud, and although the sulphur smell may remind you of rotten eggs at first, you will quickly get used to it. It’s a fun and lively experience – don’t forget your camera!
The next part of the journey is a boat trip along the Dalyan River, often referred to as the “Turkish Amazon”. As you cruise through reed-lined waterways, you will pass fish farms connected to Lake Köyceğiz and admire the surrounding natural scenery. Along the way, you will see one of the region’s most iconic sights - the impressive Lycian rock tombs carved into the cliffs, towering above the river. You will learn about their history and have time to take photos.
To finish the day, you will visit İztuzu Beach – a long sandy stretch separating the river from the sea. This unique place is a nesting site for endangered Caretta Caretta turtles, which is why part of the beach is protected. You will have time to relax and swim in crystal-clear waters. Lunch at a local restaurant is also included in the programme.
After a day full of experiences, you will return to your hotel with unforgettable memories from one of Turkey’s most picturesque regions.
The order of visits and the programme may change.

A nice, relaxing trip. The guide gave us interesting stories about Turkey along the way. Dinner was at a lovely restaurant with good food. There were a lot of turtles on Iztuzu Beach, so everything was a plus.
